Our Arizona team hosted a press conference at Mitchell Park in Tempe to bring attention to the potential impacts on local air quality from potential cuts to EPA’s budget. Speakers were Arizona State Senator Martin Quezada, Tempe City Councilwoman Lauren Kuby, Sierra Club’s Sandy Bahr and our intern, Tristan Cox. Using EDF’s State of Risk report, we highlighted how EPA funding has been critical to state and local air and water quality programs and to the health of Arizonans.
