The Lory Student Center Theater, Center Avenue Mall, Fort Collins, CO, USA

Join Defend Our Future for an art exhibit featuring pieces and performances across all mediums that highlight climate related issues!

Defend Our Future is hosting an Art & Climate Justice event! Art has made great social impacts throughout history and strengthens conversations, bringing fresh perspectives on many hot button issues; and what a better day to show how it can move climate conversations forward than Earth Day!

The event will take place in the Lory Student Center in Room 324 on Monday April 22nd at 3 pm.

Students, faculty and members of the Defend Our Future team are going to present works of theirs, all various different mediums, highlighting issues that have come about due to climate change!

The event format will have a short introduction to how art has impacted social change and climate change issues specifically and then the floor will be open for students to take turns presenting their pieces and taking 5-7 minutes to discuss where you drew inspiration, how the impacts of the topic of the piece will affect positive/negative change locally or globally, etc.

Are you an artist and interested in showcasing your art at our event? We currently have openings for our exhibition! There are no guidelines or specific pieces we are looking for and the event is open to all forms of art! If interested in presenting, please contact Sarah Winebrenner via email at sarah@defendourfuture.org.
