Philadelphia City Hall, John F Kennedy Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA, USA

On Thursday, February 7th, join Defend Our Future Pennsylvania, Philadelphia City Council Members, and State House members in saying NO to President Trump and EPA Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler’s proposal to roll back critical lifesaving safeguards against toxic mercury and other pollutants emitted primarily from coal-fired power plants.

The Philadelphia City Council will be voting on a resolution to oppose the proposed rollback of the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS), in a rebuke of President Trump’s toxic environmental policies.

Join us in the City Council Chambers for a brief press conference where local elected officials and student leaders will seek to hold our leaders in Washington, DC, accountable to oppose toxic decisions like this rollback.

Speakers include:

Philadelphia City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown
Philadelphia City Councilman Derek Green Esq.
Pennsylvania State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta
Student advocates
