Our Athens-based team held EPA Spotlight: Water Quality, a press conference to bring attention to water quality and the important role the EPA has in limiting polluting and protecting the Ohio River, a vital resource that serves millions of people. Guest speakers included Dr. Dina Lopez and Dr. Harold Perkins from Ohio University and several of our outstanding interns. Nicolas Paredes, an OU student, pointed out that while rivers are cleaner than they were before the EPA, they still require protections from pollution. The Athens Messenger covered the press conference and featured it on the front-page of the Saturday print edition.
