To encourage young people to vote this November, Defend is organizing a youth-focused town hall event with elected officials and organizations that advocate for civic engagement.

With climate change ranking as the top concern of young people when they think about the future, the event will feature audience questions about environmental issues and their many intersectionalities, including environmental justice, national security, clean energy economics, and the role of science in policy.

Submit your questions to townhall@defendourfuture.org.

The speaker line up so far:

Rep. Tom O’Halleran, Congressional District 1
Candidate Anita Malik, Congressional District 6
Candidate Hiral Tiperneni, Congressional District 8
Candidate Dr. Steve Ferrara, Congressional District 9

We’re also partnering with Arizona Coalition for Change, Mi Familia Vota, NE Resistance, Let America Vote, Changemaker Central and Chispa Arizona.

If you want to hear from the people who represent you in government about issues you care about, don’t miss this important event!
