Did you know that most plastic straws are non-recyclable? We use millions of straws every day in the U.S., and many end up in our oceans, polluting the water and harming sea life. It’s time to stop sucking.

Take action by asking for your beverages without a straw, or use an environmentally friendly alternative – such as a compostable or biodegradable paper straw. Spread the word, and inform your family and friends about the environmental hazards of plastic straws.

Many people with disabilities depend on the use of straws to be able to drink tasty beverages and stay hydrated. We need to remember that plastic, non-recyclable straws, are the problem, not all straws.
