At a press conference outside Governor Tom Wolf’s office in Philadelphia, Defend Our Future and Moms Clean Air Force called on the governor to fulfill his promise to enact safeguards that protect our health and our climate. Pennsylvania elected officials, physicians and other members of the community urged Wolf to propose and implement safeguards to limit methane – a potent greenhouse gas and climate pollutant – from existing oil and gas operations throughout the state by the end of 2018. Joining us was Dr. Jose Tapia, a Drexel University professor who was formerly a primary care physician. The event was covered by the local affiliate of Univision.
